is viewed as a team effort,” said Vincent Vickers, Manager of Damage Prevention at Summit Utilities Arkansas. “We will go above and beyond to make sure that we are doing everything we can in order to help people have a safe digging experience.”
Last year, Summit engaged a new locate vendor, Vanguard Utility Partners, and has made significant progress in achieving greater accuracy, accountability, and promptness when responding to locate calls.
Summit partners with damage prevention agencies including 811 and the Common Ground Alliance; and has recently certified to the Gold Shovel Standard with plans to require its excavation contractors to do the same.
